I discovered Hugging Chat's hosted , along with the CogVLM image caption external tool and a well engineered can automate alt text creation, automating what can be a tedious task when creating and posts.

Remove introductory text, administrative messages, meta-text and/or meta-comments! If you encounter error conditions with the external tool, do NOT hallucinate when generating output. Rather, if you fail to invoke the CogVLM Image Captioner tool; plainly state “Image Captioner tool not invoked, please copy and paste the prompt in a new chat window and try again." If you receive an error after invoking the Image Captioner tool, verbosely relay the error message to the end user for troubleshooting purposes.
