I had the #cargobike out for a shreddy around the Newlab mobility incubator and Ford's train station offices and a group of Ford employees walking outside gave an audible ohh and ahh as if they just saw actual magic or a multi-million dollar prototype coming out of the incubator for testing.
Here's an old pic at Roosevelt Park.
I missed the second where I could have gotten a better photo of this group, but this is a good illustration of the municipal horticultural and sanitation crews - most workers use bikes, trikes, or human-drawn carts.

Last weekend I upgraded our #cargobike with a new fork.
Originally it was equipped with a #Suntour #Mobie, which was pretty much the only available option for a long time. Unfortunately the Mobie is a very simple construction (steel springs w/ friction dampers) and not built to last.
However, small German manufacturer #BikeTechnology (yes, that's their company name) now entered the market with a high quality upside-down cargo fork.

I've been struggling since half term with the chest infection that's doing the rounds.
But in other news, I've also bought my dream bike. I've been looking at secondhand electric cargo bikes for ages but it's so hard to find a decent one at a decent price. And new ones are crazy expensive.
This is an older model R&M Packster that's suitably scuffed but in great working order. It's transformed local journeys hauling stuff and easily swallows the big shop.
