Caught in a lie: Kimi LLM

Precautionary note: I evaluate leading LLM for personal use (i.e the quality of the output, watching for hallucination etc.).

Last evening I prompted 2 LLM for info on me - then prompted for additional information.

Kimi and Claude nailed the 1st prompt (and Claude all follow-on prompts for more info).

Kimi h/e totally fabricated all of the follow-on output about me - none of it true!

AI can be trained to perform care. In practice, many of these systems still miss the safeguards that keep people safe.

Can now process up to 1 million tokens of context in a single request — a fivefold increase that allows developers to analyze entire software projects or dozens of research papers without breaking them into smaller chunks.

The Beta feature is only available via #API and #Amazon #Bedrock /spit for now.

This means you can feed a text 1600 pages long in a single prompt !(! sic)

Engadget: Claude can now reference past chats, if you want it to. “Claude is getting a better, if selective, memory. Rather than acting as perfect catalog of everything you’ve talked about or shared, Anthropic says the AI chatbot now has the ability to reference past chats when asked, so you don’t have to re-explain yourself.”

Morals and efficacy aside, I think #TCS and other companies firing workers in favour of #Claude (or whatever they're using) is also a long-term liability

Today, most people (except the unfortunate folk in places like Tirupur) can shrug off the impact of #Trump's tariffs. But what happens when the #US decides to cut off access, as happened Veneuelan designers subscribing to Adobe? Or even if #Microsoft just decides casually to raise the rates?

If you find yourself adding a lot of technological or prompt-based guardrails to your agent to get it to do exactly what you want, it might be time to ask yourself the tough question: Do you REALLY need an agent or do you need automation? Once you figure this out and accept that you probably just needed automation, use your AI powerup and let it build it for you! Save agents for what they're actually good at - analysis, synthesis, and bounded tasks..

Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Claude z nową funkcją pamięci. AI od Anthropic uczy się sztuczki od ChatGPT

Firma Anthropic wprowadziła nową, wyczekiwaną funkcję do swojego chatbota AI, Claude.

Od teraz asystent potrafi odwoływać się do informacji z poprzednich rozmów z użytkownikiem, co znacznie zwiększa jego użyteczność i pozwala na bardziej spersonalizowane interakcje.

Nowe rozwiązanie działa w sposób analogiczny do funkcji „Pamięć” (Memory), którą już wcześniej wdrożyło w swoim chatbocie OpenAI. Dzięki tej zdolności Claude może zapamiętywać kluczowe fakty, preferencje czy kontekst z wcześniejszych czatów, eliminując potrzebę powtarzania tych samych informacji w każdej nowej konwersacji. Anthropic zaznacza, że użytkownicy będą mieli pełną kontrolę nad tą funkcją i będą mogli ją włączyć lub wyłączyć w ustawieniach swojego konta.

Niestety, osoby, które liczyły, że z nowości skorzystają już w bezpłatnej wersji Claude’a (wszak OpenAI udostępniło podobne rozwiązanie każdemu), muszą jeszcze poczekać. Na razie nowa funkcja pamięci jest dostępna wyłącznie dla subskrybentów najwyższych planów: Enterprise, Team oraz Max. Firma zapowiedziała jednak, że wkrótce udostępni ją również użytkownikom pozostałych planów.
