Blue-eyed grass, a tiny iris relative. It was exciting to find one of these hiding in the grass when I was a kid. It still is!
Spring flowers on another very dry, very sunny, weekend in eastern Scotland. #SixOnSaturday

Spring is finally showing in the garden, the contrast of light and shadow helps highlight the magic of the season

Evening garden — wallflower, cornflower, pink evening primrose, and common yellow jasmine.
My Garden.
My Amaryllis just came into bloom. I now have 2 dozen bulbs. I'll be giving away 15 of them to friends this year.
Native to Africa, the genus Amaryllis comes from the Greek word amarysso, which means "to sparkle."
They prefer a little bit of morning sun with bright, indirect light the rest of the day. Keep the soil moist but not wet.
