And sweet basils are growing at last. I love the taste of basils to the point I snack on them sometimes.
Arugula went to flower
Pretty good harvest today. Bittermelons are doing so well in the bouts of heatwaves.
Pls see the AltText for names of the greens.
Garlic chives in my community garden plot.
When they flower, bees love them. Sometimes, cottontail babies shelter among them.
The rains also brought dragonfly army! This one guards my community garden plot from mosquitos.

After two nights of rain and warm weather, everything grew exponentially in my #communityGarden plot.
Marjoram is one of my fav go to herbs. I pretty much add it to everything I cook. It’s more antioxidant than oregano, and goes with everything. Super herb!
Two photos are a month apart.
It was a beautiful day, a bit too windy, which ended up helpful against mosquitos. Tidied up outside of the fence for wildflowers as well as some leftover veggie for wildlife.
My plot looks as neat as it’d look before it gets out of hands.
So, I’m sipping some ginger tea with cinnamon stick to ease the pain—gardening is much more strenuous than gym workout! Still have more to plant!
Planted two remaining tiny kales that had been growing on the #IndoorShelfGarden since last spring for our ratties.
So very happy with these Lacinato kales!! *grateful*
Not much to show yet, but the background trees greening outside of the community garden look pretty in the evening sun, aren’t they?
We made a new wasp house for another paperWasps queen who made her nest in the storage bench in my plot. I’ve used wood glue instead of screws for this one. I’ll carefully attach the paperWasp hive inside at the garden while the temperature is still cool. We need another one for the second queen.
Went to plant 3 Dino-kale and 2 celery plants in my community garden plot today. The kales have been on the bright window shelf since last year, as bonsai kales. lol
The supermarket celery got rooted in the fall. Hope they thrive in the garden.
Now I can use the shelf to sprout veggie seeds!
*squee* I’m so happy to see the paperWasps are in the house!!!
We went to clean up the communityGarden plot this afternoon. I saw a paperWasp flew by me, so I checked the waspHouse we made for them last summer when a queen had built a nest in the plastic storage bench.
The latest harvest from my #communityGarden plot. Not a lot, but thankful, especially because the nearby supermarket always runs out of #arugula.
Last couple of harvest from #GardenPlot14 *grateful*
My crazy tall sunflowers are still blooming.
My crazy tall sunflowers today — the big flowers at the top were consumed by the wildlife, but the side-branched small flowers are still blooming and the bees are buzzing around.
Cleaned up the zucchini bed and planted the Lacinato kales that had been growing on the plant shelf with grow light by the bright window since spring.
