I searched my own history and discovered that I have made 65 posts mentioning Eunha.
Obviously, this is fanboy behaviour.
I will resist the pressure to psychoanalyze or even pathologize this behaviour and focus instead on these thoughts:
- I am lucky to have witnessed the blossoming of Kpop and the emergence via the internet on the world stage of beautiful and talented idols like Eunha.
- Immersing myself in Kpop has made me think hard about music, dance, performance, popular culture, globalization, Asian history, aesthetics and much else besides.
- As I reflect, I think about these matters not only in a detached intellectual manner but also as a fan.
- Eunha stirs both my intellect and my feelings.
- I am also aware that older male fans must maintain a sense of the ridiculous.
