A fun little book, I do have to wonder why this particular kid's book became a long-standing classic over any other. I suppose that's just the way things go. I do suggest you read it.

I'm looking for beta readers to read one or more short stories from my upcoming anthology- Unsung Women in Somerset (Junior Edition).
Aimed at ages 9+, it looks at the lives of unsung women in the county of Somerset, UK, in times gone by. It starts in pre-Roman times and ends in modern times, so you can pick which era you're most interested in.
