IRAP<p>[<a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/ExoMars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ExoMars</span></a> : report and update] The postponement of the ExoMars mission has given IRAP scientists the opportunity to update some of the components of the <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/Raman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Raman</span></a> laser <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/spectrometer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>spectrometer</span></a>.</p><p>The spectrometer will analyse <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/samples" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>samples</span></a> taken from beneath the surface of <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/Mars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mars</span></a> that have been ground and powdered beforehand. It will be able to identify the <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/organic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>organic</span></a> compounds present and will contribute to the search for <a href="https://astrodon.social/tags/microbial" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>microbial</span></a> life.</p><p>Launch scheduled for October 2028!
