Making good progress on my 10mm Starship Troopers project for this upcoming #MillenniumCon here in central Texas this November. I wanted a high contrast with the reddish brown desert, and against the ochre, mint, and plum of the Arachnid forces I painted earlier this year.

L2R: HQ with officer and radio op, fire support mech, medic team, machinegunner, rifle team, missile team with launcher and ammo porter.

Did I just start another two and a half hour #miniatures print, just to try with a different retraction value and not have to clean up the one I did last night?

Why, yes. Yes I did. Definitely don't think that a silver dragon should be hairy.

(silk PLA can be a bear to work with)

Question: I'm looking to start with airbrushing my small scale models.

As there's something with forest and trees: I need advice.

Any tips for a decent airbrush gun, accessories & compressor for someone who is just starting?

If it matters: my models are rather small (1:87 and 1:32 train models) and I won't be doing square meters..

Note: am cheaparse so not looking to break the bank.

Thanks!

Doing some more work on the papercraft miniatures for the second adventure location of my solo miniatures RPG "Fable on your Table" (second edition).

This set introduces outdoor battles, and I think the papercraft terrain and enemies are starting to look pretty good.

This time, I remembered to time myself. Each miniature takes only about two minutes to score, cut out, and assemble. Not bad!

Heresy was one of the first non-GW minis companies I ever came across. Their fun SFF minis from little Van Halfling to robots and giant spiders helped sell me on gaming as a hobby.

Anyway, between the difficulties of small business and caring for his wife's CPTSD, Andy has said he may close shop soon without more orders and support. If you'd like to support a small business and folks going through tough times:

If, like me, you're a fan of the "Slice of Life" guys, you'll be happy that LEGO discovered them & asked them to help with a little promo film... what would you say if I told you that almost every single detail of this was filmed for real, in-camera, with models?

Because that's what Luka, Dino & the SoL crew are really, really good at, as I think we can all agree looking at this little film 🤯🤩

Assembled some papercraft miniatures for a new adventure setting for my solo miniatures-based RPG game, "Fable on your Table".

Shown are:

* Giant beetles (Zephyr, Maurader, and Goliath varieties)
* Some vampires
* Werewolves
* Some "oakens" – living tree giants

These were just two pages printed out. Didn't take long to score 'em, cut 'em out, and glue 'em up!

Sideboard update! Dry fit. The doors need trimmed which could be tricky and I am all out of this veneer so if I make another mistake I will need to make a whole new carcass. I have learned *so much* along the way that this isn’t as bad as it sounds. If I had veneered both sides of everything before I started assembling I would have a more accurate finish on all of it. #WoodWorking #Miniatures #No52 #DollsHouse 1/3
