Aptivi<p><strong>Exclusive: Screen off animation broken after the September patch for the Galaxy Tab S8</strong></p><p>Recently, Samsung has pushed the <a href="https://officialaptivi.wordpress.com/2025/10/01/galaxy-tab-s8-5g-series-receives-september-2025-security-patch/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">security patch</a> for the <a href="https://officialaptivi.wordpress.com/2025/10/05/galaxy-tab-s8-wi-fi-receives-september-2025-security-patch/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Galaxy Tab S8</a> series that allowed the tablet to be updated to the September 2025 security patch (build DYI1), according to the quarterly security update schedule for the tablet. It is built on top of <a href="https://officialaptivi.wordpress.com/2025/04/28/samsung-galaxy-tab-s8-gets-the-one-ui-7-update/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">One UI 7</a> with Android 15 as the base system.</p><p>While evaluating the version, we’ve noticed an odd bug where the screen off animation wouldn’t play when either the screen turns off by itself or you turn it off by pressing the side button. This bug didn’t exist in the July security patch (build <a href="https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-X700/XSG/doc.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">DYF4</a>). According to Güncel Miyiz, the tablet should receive the update globally <a href="https://www.guncelmiyiz.com/arama/sm-x700" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">on the 16th of October</a>, with the Korean release date being earlier according to recent rollout logs.</p><p>To obtain the update, follow these steps:</p><ol><li>Open the <strong>Settings</strong> app</li><li>Navigate to <strong>Software update</strong></li><li>Tap on <strong>Download and Install</strong></li><li>You should be able to see the update information. Verify the version with your device model posted above.</li><li>Click on <strong>Download</strong>, let it download, and click on <strong>Install</strong>. Make sure that you download the update through Wi-Fi.</li></ol><p>This security update should take 5 to 10 minutes maximum to install once your phone reboots. Make sure that you have the phone charged fully before initiating the update process to avoid interruptions. Back up your data to your PC, the cloud, or any other device in case the update went wrong. Don’t interrupt the update process, or you’ll experience problems later. Aptivi<p><strong>Samsung Galaxy F17 officially launches on Flipkart!</strong></p><p>Samsung India has launched the Galaxy F17 to the Indian market exclusively to Flipkart. This phone is a rebrand of the A17 and is a successor to the last year’s Galaxy F16. This phone brings some of the upgrades over the predecessor, and the infographics below show this phone and its features.</p><p>First of all, the F17 is only 0.75 cm thin, which makes this phone the first thin device from the F series. Alongside that, the display is an AMOLED display with the toughest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This is to make sure that your phone becomes durable.</p><p>The Galaxy F17 comes with three rear cameras, which are:</p><ul><li>50 MP main camera with the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system,</li><li>5 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and</li><li>2 MP macro camera.</li></ul><p>The phone promises that there will be no shaking in the camera during photography, which makes your photos much better than before. Whether it’s a nature shot or a portrait shot, your phone captures the photos in the clearest of the details.</p><p>As for the selfie camera, this phone equips a 13 MP front camera sensor, which makes your selfies look more clear.</p><p>The Galaxy F17 comes in two colors: Violet Pop and Neo Black. Choose one of the two colors that you like, and enjoy your Galaxy F17!</p><p>The Galaxy F17 also comes with the 128 GB of storage with either 4 GB of RAM, 6 GB, or 8 GB. It’s turned on by default. It’s simple, isn’t it?</p><p>Holding this option leads to the Intelligent Drag and Drop settings that looks like this:</p><p>Currently, this page provides three settings options:</p><ul><li><strong>Supported apps</strong>: Lists supported applications for the Intelligent Drag and Drop feature (that is, drag and drop things from those applications).</li><li><strong>Services in sidebar</strong>: Lists recommended services to turn on when the intelligent drag and drop sidebar appears.</li><li><strong>Sidebar position</strong>: Either left or right at the edge of your screen.</li></ul><p>Pressing <strong>Supported apps</strong> leads to this screen that lists basically all apps that support intelligent drag and drop, such as Chrome and Instagram. Aptivi<p><strong>Samsung Galaxy A52s is not eligible for the One UI 8 update</strong></p><p>Recently, there has been some leaked information regarding the alleged roadmap for the One UI 8 update for Galaxy smartphones, and it originated from what the official Samsung Turkish website, called <a href="https://www.guncelmiyiz.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Güncel Miyiz</a>, had claimed. While creating our own article about the tentative Samsung Türkiye schedule for One UI 8 update for their devices, we only took a snapshot of the info that the above source said.</p><p>However, there have been <a href="https://sammyguru.com/leaked-one-ui-8-schedule-hints-at-when-your-galaxy-gets-the-update/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">some news</a> that posted the <a href="https://9to5google.com/2025/09/06/samsung-one-ui-8-schedule-galaxy-phones-list/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">exact same timeline</a> that the above source provided, but with additional devices that are not eligible for One UI 8.0, and one of those devices is the <strong>Galaxy A52s</strong>.</p><p>To recap, the Galaxy A52s was released with three generations of OS updates on September 1st, 2021, before the longevity plan, which allowed four generations of OS updates, had materialized. The Galaxy A52s was released with Android 11 and One UI 3.1, and it received three updates, with the latest being One UI 6.1 and Android 14. Since then, this device didn’t receive the One UI 7.0 update. Several devices, such as the A04 series (A04e, A04, and A04s), A13 5G, and the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, didn’t receive One UI 7.0.</p><p><strong>So, how can you say that the Galaxy A52s is going to receive the One UI 8.0 update on October 13th when it didn’t even get One UI 7.0?</strong></p><p>According to the latest firmware information, there have been no builds that pertain to One UI 7.0 and One UI 8.0, and this already confirms that the Galaxy A52s is not eligible for the update. In fact, this device is still supported in the quarterly security patch cadence (testing is currently at A528NKSS7GYI1 and A528BXXSBGYI1) as an enterprise model, but is on the verge of being unsupported soon as it is a 2021 device.
