If you already follow my blog feed, it hasn't changed — I just added some additional ones. I also cleaned up the inclusion of the "reply by email" link — now I can have that on the full-text RSS feed, and have the "share" and "like" buttons only on the website.

I finally figured out how to manually generate RSS feeds so I can have separate ones for different kinds of posts!

This is a useful step in making it so I can use my site instead of social media — now I can POSSE shorter notes, people can follow what they want, and I don't have to worry about "spamming" the blog feed

Keine Ahnung. Du fragst nach selbst hosten. Da wird man wohl oder übel mit Technik in Berührung kommen, auf die eine oder andere Weise.

Simpler als Markdown und statisches HTML wird es aber kaum werden, oder Du findest wieder einen Hoster. Dann isses aber nicht #posse

Wenn Du nix selbst hosten willst, klickst Du Dir einen Account bei Github, initialisierst Dir github Pages und tippst Dinge in deren Online-Editor. Deren Jekyll macht dann eine Site draus, und solange Du ein vorgefertigtes Theme nehmen magst hast Du auch keinen Kontakt mit HTML.

Jemand schlug nebenan im Thread hier "Ghost" vor. Das kann man selber hosten, und dafür gibt es Anleitungen. Die legen aber Nahe, daß es komplizierter ist als was ich selbst hier nutze und beschrieben habe.

Molly White hat das in citationneeded.news/substack-t dokumentiert.

Oder man klickt sich das bei ghost selbst, dann ist es aber nicht Posse, sondern dann kann man auch bei wordpress.com oder wp-engine bleiben.

Der Vorteil des größeren Setups (gegenüber dem, was ich beschrieben habe) ist halt ein Haufen Code, der läuft und den Kram auch automatisch auf anderen Channels raus haut. Das ist aber Arbeit und Angriffsfläche. Wenn man sich von Technik fernhalten will wäre das nicht meine Empfehlung.
