Marc<p>I am glad to be one of the Google Summer of Code '25 mentors for <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://floss.social/@fossasia" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>fossasia</span></a></span>'s <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/PSLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PSLab</span></a> project. I already was a mentor last year. I learned a lot myself and it is great to see students becoming more confident as their projects progress. Mentoring also helped me to increase the amount of contributions to <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/FLOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FLOSS</span></a> which was limited to an occasional bugfix here or there and my personal hobby projects during the past years. <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/GSoC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GSoC</span></a></p>
Marc<p>If you will be at <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/38c3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>38c3</span></a> and want your <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/PSLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PSLab</span></a> v5 board to be updated to the latest firmware version (to make sure it will work with future versions of the Android app), contact me or come to the <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/fossasia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fossasia</span></a> assembly (<a href="https://events.ccc.de/congress/2024/hub/en/assembly/fossasia/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">events.ccc.de/congress/2024/hu</span><span class="invisible">b/en/assembly/fossasia/</span></a>).</p>
Marc<p>I have published a new blog article: Flashing the firmware of the Pocket Science Lab v6 board with mcbootflash - </p><p><a href="https://low.audioattack.de/flashing-pslab-with-mcbootflash" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">low.audioattack.de/flashing-ps</span><span class="invisible">lab-with-mcbootflash</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/pslab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pslab</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a></p>
Marc<p>A parcel from <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://floss.social/@fossasia" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>fossasia</span></a></span> with the latest version of the Pocket Science Lab and an LED Badge arrived today. 🎉 Did I mention that I am one of the mentors guiding a very talented student who added lots of improvements to the <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/PSLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PSLab</span></a> app as part of the <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/GSoC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GSoC</span></a>? I also used the <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/BadgeMagic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BadgeMagic</span></a> app for the first time today. I have several neat ideas about what I could do with the PSLab, but unfortunately so little time.</p>
