David Castleton (Author)<p>The South London suburb of Nunhead is said to get its name from a pub, The Old Nun's Head. The pub, in turn, is reputed to have got its name from the notion that the mother superior of a local convent was beheaded during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Her head is said to have been placed on a spike on the village green, on the spot where the pub now stands. Though there is little evidence to support this claim, there may have been a convent in the area with links to an Augustinian priory in Shoreditch. Pffff...<p>En discutant avec les gens de Buena Vista Rafting (qui sont très sympa <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/pub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pub</span></a>) j'apprends qu'EDF a décidé unilatéralement d'annuler les lâchers d'eau de la semaine prochaine de son barrage sur le Verdon. Des centaines de réservations d'activités tombent à l'eau (hihi mais non), c'est une perte sèche pour les entreprises du coin. Il semble que EDF a régulièrement cette attitude malgré de beaux discours et partenariats affichés partout.</p>

Si vous voulez faire des activités d'eau dans les gorges du Verdon, je peux vous recommander Buena Vista Rafting à Castellane. Ils sont super sympas et on s'est vraiment fait plaisir.
