While binding this quilt, I just found a cut (probably from a rotary cutter) 
I’m going to want to patch it. This is my all green quilt, so I’m thinking maybe an embroidered green crayon? That might be too big
This is so frustrating!
Since my joints are going to be this way for the foreseeable future (boo,) I'm going to try to switch (mostly) from hand sewing to machine sewing. What tips do folks have on using sewing machines? Generally, and also for quilting, or just anything you feel like typing out. I have intermittently swollen joints, hypermobility, dysautonomia, etc. I do generally have good motor control because I'm into so many crafts, including fabric and fiber arts. Hello again quilstodon, I’m leap-frog inheriting some beautiful bedspreads that my grandma made many years ago, one of them has these white splotches on. Any ideas what kind of stain this is/what could be done? We think it looks a bit like water damage but don’t know. Thank you!

I went to see an artist talk today with #GeesBend quilters Loretta Pettway and Louisiana Bendolph. I’ve adored their quilts for years and I feel affirmed by their presence in the art world—very laid back, no artist statements or artspeak, prioritizing fun and feeling good over technical perfection. I made progress building The Orville New Horizon tapestry quilt. This is going to be lovely after I add some handquilting. I expect this to take three months at least to handquilt. I’m going to use off white thread so that the handquilting pops from the quilt.
