Those months were some of the most beautiful and painful of my young life.
RFK Jr’s recent mRNA funding cuts have put a pancreatic cancer vaccine in jeopardy, and opened up old wounds for me and my family.

I thought about the folks who took such good care of me, years ago, when I was in a skilled nursing facility — most of whom were probably immigrants.
And yeah, it’s happening — creating shortages of such workers, of course. A lose-lose situation. Unless you’re a racist.
