Verizon Fios made big general promises to everyone. Both were a bad example of how to be a Fiber Optic company.<br><br></span><a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/GoogleFiber" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GoogleFiber</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/VerizonFios" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#VerizonFios</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Verizon" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Verizon</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Fios" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fios</a></p>

Alley Stoughton<p>I'm trying to figure out when Verizon FIOS will likely be coming to an address in North Adams, Massachusetts. According to the coverage map at <a href="https://broadbandnow.com/Verizon-Fios" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">broadbandnow.com/Verizon-Fios</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>, it's available now. But Verizon customer service isn't able to say anything about the timeline - or even that it will be coming.</p><p>Does anyone have any pointers as to how to get more information?</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FIOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FIOS</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Verizon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Verizon</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/VerizonFIOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VerizonFIOS</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/NorthAdams" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NorthAdams</span></a></p>
"You do you" is Eu-gen-ics.<p>So this is officially fifth <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/VerizonFIOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VerizonFIOS</span></a> outage in two days, following seamlessly from fourth "resolved" outage that started this afternoon.</p><p>Their web site says today's second outage was resolved, but on phone call to Verizon we're informed there's a open ticket, for which access is currently being requested to a tel-comm room, with resolution expected by 11:30 tomorrow morning.</p>
"You do you" is Eu-gen-ics.<p>So, <a href="https://disabled.social/tags/VerizonFIOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VerizonFIOS</span></a> site now says there was an issue, but it has now been resolved.</p><p>Funny, the red Fail light on our ONT and flashing POTS light would seem to be saying otherwise. (This is actually an improvement. Before manual rest, four lights were red and nothing was flashing.)</p>

Each time, a known issue, but different explanatory text about what is known and how long to fix.</p><p>In other news, their troubleshooting website still wants us to pull and replace the battery in the ONT that their technicians years ago removed and replaced with a much smaller device having no removable battery.</p>
