How often do you stop to consider how much harm has come from the absurd capitalist notion of "everyone must work for living" [does not apply to the rich], and its sister notion "everyone must work full hours"?

How many harmful technologies couldn't be phased out because it meant a lot of people losing their only source of income? How many destructive industries have been proliferating simply because closing them down would mean a lot of people without jobs? How much further are we going to push for the absurd notion of infinite growth?

And of course it only applies to the quasi-privileged groups. Nobody cares when lots of "low-tech" people are laid off and told to find a new job, because techbros need their new "high-tech" (read: more destructive to the planet) ideas to sell.

A new recruit into the US Military (an E1) in 2025 will earn about $27k in their first year.
Enlisted service members routinely live far below the US poverty line.

But, they will be trained to become experts in whatever their field is (Seriously, enlisted military folks do really hard, technical and demanding jobs, very very well), enduring untold hardships in service to the people of our country.

For Trump to give new ICE agents a $40k signing bonus, and a $100k starting yearly salary is a HUGE slap in the face to the active military’s and veterans in the US. Especially as Trumps BBB slashed funding for the VA and other services.

Not to mention teachers and other civil servants, who are criminally underpaid and undervalued.

THIS is a clear example of what the
GOP thinks is important.

It’s not veterans, or teachers, or civil servants, or our military. Full stop.

What’s most important to them is the cruelty of harassment and imprisonment of black and brown people in America, including women, children, and the elderly.

They are racist pigs and traitors.

To them, this sadistic spectacle is worth FAR more than the actual defense of our country, or treating service members with respect.
