kc posch<p>Today, we took our Bromptons out to the Götakanal in Söderköping, Sweden. The Kanal cuts through Sweden from the east to the west. Just now, we are sitting on the Kanal and listen to splendid, earthy Southern (= Söder) Live Blues. Downes 🍁<p>I got into Grindavik late afternoon, had some outrageously priced fish and chips (as a treat; most days it will be grocery store food for me), got into the campsite (far nicer than Keflavik) and settled into sleep by 7 listening to a biography of Henry V. Harald Kliems<p>I finished two days of biking last night. 340 km from Davos in Switzerland to Welzheim in SW Germany. For both days there was a high chance of thunderstorms. And yet, I managed to stay almost completely dry! kc posch<p>I guess that many people have no idea about large rivers in Sweden. Am I right? Before I got interested in Sweden, I knew about the Danube, the Rhine, or the Mississippi. But I have never heard about Ångermanälven or Luleälven. In the foto you can see Torne älv; it constitutes the southern part of the border between Sweden and Finland. What a beauty! We were there recently with our Bromptons. kc posch<p>We have successfully finished our project of bicycling with the Bromptons from Stockholm, Sweden, to the Swedish-Finnish border in Haparanda. We did this project in three parts during the summers of 2023, 2024, and 2025. All together, the tour took 22 days of leisure cycling.
