Clay in process! When I was digging in the garden, I found a deposit of fairly pure clay, so I decided to go for it! I've mixed it with water and sieved out the trash (gravel, leaves, grass). Now it's draining through an old t-shirt. It may take several days for all the water to drain out. Then I'll have to decide what to make with it!

Through figurative and organic forms, I Find Rest focuses on the relationship between the human body and the natural world. Trained as a figurative ceramicist, Walton utilizes soil, clay, and mud not only as artistic mediums but as pathways for deconstructing social connotations that associate these materials with uncleanliness and poverty.

Inizialmente avevo pensato di colorato di rosa ma già dalla prima mano non mi convinceva. È rimasto a prendere polvere per diverso tempo prima che mi decidessi a riprenderlo per dargli un nuovo aspetto.
Hai qualche suggerimento?
Potremmo restare su colori naturali e giocarla sui marroni.
Nero per conferirgli un'aria finto minacciosa
Celeste/blu/verde pensandolo fantastico.

It’s finally happening, folks. We’re going #solar 🌞 We’re grid-tied so what this means is a drastic reduction in our fossil fuel use, but not complete elimination. I’m especially happy to be decreasing fossil fuel reliance in the #pottery studio as it adds an additional layer of intentionality to my work. I can talk all day about my connection to the earth through #clay, but it’s all empty conceptualizing without accompanying action.
