For MinaCoding2025 Prompt 18: Patterns ,SunnyTileViews coded in #HydraVideoSynth & #Python creates a viewscape of color patterns associated with a transition to summer from a rainy season through the lens of tiles. With aid from the Oil paint filter
Rain Comes and goes
Along with the Sun
As the Rain Succumbs
The flow of the rain
May sustain
Even after the sun arrives
As the Rain may Hide
The sun ray flows
Alongside the Earth Souls

Oooh! The Betty White stamps arrived!
If you're interested in signing up for my #StickersAndStamps project, and would like me to use one of these Betty White stamps on your envelope, mention the Betty White stamps in the "Questions and Comments" section of the sign up form: https://forms.gle/pMF8w1WkZXoostLM8

New blog post about data art!
Have you ever wondered:
What is data-driven art?
Why do people make data art?
How do I get started making my own?
Then this blog post is for you! It includes an example using #TidyTuesday data - with code in both #Python and #RStats!
Sometimes, updating a Data Art piece is just too much of an emotional drain. And the piece must remain out of date.
But to be honest, that's part of the piece itself.
How Big is 400,000? https://kristinhenry.github.io/howBig/
I wrote a bit about the piece: https://kristinhenry.medium.com/how-big-is-400-000-922841dbc986
I’m thrilled to bring together two institutions that shaped my work: BarabásiLab & metaLAB (at) Harvard.
On June 11–12, 2025, we’re hosting Data | Art—a conference on how data entangles with artistic, scientific & curatorial practices.
We already have a stellar lineup of speakers! More soon: https://data-art.info/
A little bit of #DataArt on a Monday afternoon! Can you guess the data?

#wccchallenge #poetic #creativecoding #design #WCCC #dataart #maze
For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph “ Youth Games”, MazePlex takes a #Python heatmap script and transforms the outputs into various mazes.
Getting Around the Maze
Seeing if there are any crack
Any place
That has enough space
To crawl, where the path doesn’t lack
Starting Lines,
Ending points but first, got to make it to the ending sign
Thinking back on this fun project I did...a century ago?...anyway, I was wondering how Randy Rainbow grew in popularity and did a cute little study and data visualization.
I really did have fun with this one!
And yes, I do still love bubble charts!

The prompt for #Genuary2025 Day 29 is “ #GridBased“, Day 31 : “ #Pixelsort”
GlitchyScrollMaps uses Hydra to remix ScrollMaps: https://blog.illestpreacha.com/genuary2025scrollmaps
It takes inspiration from pixel sort algorithms to add glitchyness through Hydra ( Orignally Coded in #Python, #Hydravideosynth & #SonicPi)

Got my first batch of envelops, for this year, in the mail today!
Wow! Most of them have destinations outside of the US. A lot more expensive to send, but worth the context data.
When I was heading out the door to walk these to my local post office, my mail carrier was right there and offered to take them. So this is the first batch I didn't walk to my post office.
Went on my walk anyway, needed the exercise :)

Genuary 2025 Day 27 Prompt: "Make something interesting with no randomness or noise or trig."
No randomness, noise, or trig? How?! That's a huge part of my creative coding practice.
Ahhh...but I can use data!
Yep, I used some data from my #StickersAndStamps project.
My goal is to send out a new batch of stickers and notes on Monday. So this is a great weekend to sign up for my #StickersAndStamps project.
