cobalt<p>Somehow this headline and the drastic clampdown on dissent and opposition to current White House administrative and policy feels just like what is happening and accelerating here in the US. The extreme measures in Iran are more blatant, widespread and horrifying. </p><p>Yet here ICE expanding budget was approved by 20 times and plan for 58 new detention centers, 10,000 new officers. The new personal Administration military here disappears hundreds if not more people daily and without access to due process. And sudden deportation here is expanding. </p><p>I don’t see how this editorial opinion in the New York Times is appropriate, timed for today July 4 in the US. Odd propaganda? Hmm is the US government authoritarian action just fine in contrast? After all judicial controls are now neutered. </p><p>Government programs and departments are installed with loyalists to Trump, US serving in military now have an oath to the President in some cases, and our Congress just approved and funded all this.
