I've been trying to build my energy levels back up to even contemplate starting a new comic project.
So I've been doodling on my e-ink book again and it's really enjoyable. There's something fun about very limited options and functionality. Most of the time I'm drawing and shading on a single layer. So mistakes are inevitable and part of the process.
Always inspired by @chrislewislee work with their e-ink drawings.

I already thought that the specs were great, that the OS was as much open as I wanted it, that the autonomy between charges was extraordinary.

Amazon may be developing a cheaper Kindle with a color display. Leaked pictures show a prototype with no front light and a 6 inch screen screen. As someone who cannot concentrate for long periods on bright screens and the owner of an e-ink monitor as well as an e-reader, this is something I'm looking forward too as it'll increase hackability and enable the development of more #OpenHardware devices!

Does anyone out there have a #pinenote? I'm interested in picking one up to let me carry around my sheet music easily, and so that I can carry around my lesson plans without having to print them. Is the screen large enough to display sheet music without it being hard to read?
@ctietze @marioguzman here you go. The input latency is quite high, even with the emulation speed turned up. Not sure what is responsible for that.

Das Air - wie auch andere - sind nicht nur Reader sondern du kannst damit auch mit EMR-Stiften schreiben. Mein Hauptzweck sind händische Anmerkungen in PDF-Dateien.
Standard Android, also kannst du alle Android-Apps normal nutzen inkl. Syncthing + RSS-Aggregatoren zum "Zeitunglesen".
Die haben aber auch read-only Reader im Angebot - kenn ich allerdings nicht.

2nd iteration of my e-ink dashboard: now no longer shows trivia from ChatGPT, so I can refresh it hourly, without worrying about boiling the ocean a little bit.
My ancient 2013-era #Kindle Paperwhite keeps on deleting sideloaded ebooks, which means that I should probably shop for a new reading tablet.
So, what small-sized #Android #eink tablet can people recommend which also runs the Kindle app without any problems?
(These days, I try to avoid the Kindle store as much as I can, but I am loath to give up my vast library of Kindle ebooks entirely. Although I fortunately still have copies of most the files back when it was still possible to crack the #DRM .)
Last week I got a Supernote Manta tablet. It's an e-ink tablet designed for notetaking as a primary focus. It's an amazing device that has revolutionized my note taking and organizing.
It has a built in hand writing recognition capability that works even when offline.
It has the capability to link between and within notes making it really easy to interlink all kinds of things for ease of use and organizational skills.
Because it's a tablet, it also has the ability to copy, cut, and paste just like you might do on your computer. I've found this handy for reorganizing sermon notes and reordering my translation work without having to rewrite everything.
This device is simply amazing!

My #cycling statistics dashboard on a#raspberrypi is automatically updating again! By using #Strava 's #Python package stravalib my code is now quite a bit simpler. It also works on different @pimoroni #eink display sizes. Can't wait to try it on the new Inky Impressions 13.3 inch version.
