The Michigan Department of Natural Resources announced Friday it's addressing serious concerns over the safety of Hall Lake Dam with a gradual drawdown of water levels starting this summer.
Hall Lake was once a natural lake spanning about 8 acres with a maximum depth of 6 feet. The development of Gun Lake Road raised the water levels. And in the 1960s, a water-control structure was added that raised the lake's water level by another 6 feet. ..."
