They're not bad people, for the most part. They're generally kind, look out for their neighbors; they also aren't exposed to "the new" in the way that we are out on the coasts.</p><p>How about we all agree, for 2 election cycles at every level, to ignore all the asshats in power? <br>They can't tell us who to hate. <br>They can't tell us who's "out to get us". </p><p>We listen to each other. </p><p>"Illegals are (whatever)" <br>I hear you saying that you're scared of losing your job. <br>"The trans are (whatever)" <br>I hear you saying that you're scared of losing your identity.</p><p>How can I show you that I'm trying to help you? <br>What does it take for you to believe that I'm trying to make things better for you? </p><p>All of you. <br>All at once. </p><p>It's possible. It's absolutely possible. <br>We can all have our happy place. </p><p>Except the intolerant. Fuck those dudes.</p>
