Ralph, “The Illusionary Movements of Geraldine and Nazu” 2005, featuring “One Million Miles Away” </p><p>This album is an odd one, comprising straight <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/symphonic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>symphonic</span></a> tracks, some with <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/operatic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>operatic</span></a> vocals, as well as tracks with those elements integrated with pop melody and <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/turntabilism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>turntabilism</span></a> touches. “One Million Miles Away” is one of the latter.</p><p>I first heard this track in a car commercial that debuted during the 2001 Super Bowl; my search began. At great pains (old style, pre-<a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Shazam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shazam</span></a>), I ID’d it as a hidden leading track on a 1999 CD “Music to Mauzner By.” by an artist known as SPY. A hidden LEADING track? I got the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/CD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CD</span></a> but never figured out how to navigate to it and get it to play.</p><p>I am nothing if not persistent. Some years later I connected the SPY moniker to producer/composer J. Ralph and found “One Million Miles Away” as a listed, conventionally playable track on “The Illusionary Movements…” Sigh of relief.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R06ZRt3lIgE" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=R06ZRt3lIg</span><span class="invisible">E</span></a></p>
