I survived my defense surprisingly well and am now officially Doctor Fiona Johanna Weber.
And as a consequence I’ve now changed my display name to obnoxiously point that out to everyone (for a week or so, I promise I won’t overdo it).
Thanks a lot again for everyone who helped me on my way to this point and I’m now going to lean back a little bit to be proud for a moment .

My #PhdDefense starts in 4¾ hours… I’m slowly beginning to get slightly nervous…
Still, unless I get into a traffic accident on the way to the university, this is going to happen now.
There still seem to be some issues with getting the teams-link for my #PhDDefense working…
On the other hand I just received news that I can pick up my new driver’s license at the city hall. So I will finally have some form of identity document with my actual name on it.

Excited to attend my first PhD defence at TU Delft: Daniël Vos will be defending his thesis "Decision Tree Learning: Algorithms for Robust Prediction and Policy Optimization", containing work he did under supervision of Prof. Dr. Ir. R.L. Lagendijk and Dr. Ir. Sicco Verwer.
