I picked <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> Studio for the supposed no-hassle audio configuration after messing around with Jack &amp; <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Pulseaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pulseaudio</span></a> in regular Ubuntu, and the low latency I/O. I don't recall specifics wrt whether I needed <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Carla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Carla</span></a> or winetricks, but I remember the joy of discovering <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/yabridge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yabridge</span></a>. Most of the setup worked, but I got stranded trying to get the drag &amp; drop part of the <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/EZDrummer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EZDrummer</span></a> midi clips from the <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/VST" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VST</span></a> popup into a <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DAW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DAW</span></a> like <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Ardour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ardour</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Reaper" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reaper</span></a> working. Cross-application UI interaction is apparently hard to get right with Wine on <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>.
