Jumile<p>After 30+ years of using <a href="https://mas.to/tags/vi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vi</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/vim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vim</span></a> - because vi is on ALL *nix systems (repressing my love for JOE, which mimicked my <a href="https://mas.to/tags/WordStar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WordStar</span></a> origins on the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Microbee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Microbee</span></a>) - I've *finally* decided to check out <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Emacs</span></a> this week.</p><p>It's been a - um - journey, and a worthwhile one. After all, I just got <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> working inside a *text editor*. </p><p>Even with the majesty of <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Neovim" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Neovim</span></a> and June Gunn's <a href="https://mas.to/tags/vimplugin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vimplugin</span></a>, I could never have imagined this was possible in an editor.</p><p>It's never a bad time to learn and expand.</p>
