The fact that the CBC wasted taxpayer money paying lawyers to send an obviously invalid trademark nastygram is a scandal of its own.

*Nobody* with the slightest hint of trademark knowledge would think this was actionable.

Can we take the cost of the lawyers out of the CBC executives' bonuses?

The #DougFord administration has had no real capital improvement/investment plan for the Province since at least 2019, instead relying on LOBBYISTS, who are only interested in profits, to give them ideas via an online portal where they can submit unsolicited plans to siphon away your tax dollars!

The #Conservative Doug Ford admin just wants power for powers sake, they don't have any intention of bettering the lives of Ontarian's!

Doug wants to spend billions of dollars to build a tunnel beneath the 401, already the widest highway in North America! If adding more lanes worked the 401 wouldn't be clogged!

Just because the US is economically burning we cannot let our leaders run amok!

Like Mike Harris before him, Doug Ford is inflicting damage on our province that will take multiple generations to fix! We still bear the scars of Harris! He must be stopped!

#UnitedNations #Environment Programme Executive Director Inger Andersen said the issues are complex but the crisis is “really spiraling” & there’s a narrow pathway to a #treaty. She said many countries agree on redesigning #plastic products to be #recycled & improving #waste management, for example.

Between 19 million & 23 million tons of plastic waste leak into #AquaticEcosystems annually, that could jump 50% by 2040 without urgent action, according to the #UN.

Because I agree but refuse to boost toots with shortened URLs (aka Link Detours) in them. And adding hashtags is a good idea for these kinds of toots.

Greenpeace International (@greenpeace) should have written in mastodon.social/@greenpeace/11:

They knew.

They lied.

Plastic producers have known for more than 30 years that RECYCLING is NOT an economically or technically feasible plastic waste management solution.

"Researchers have come up with a cheap and efficient way to use sunlight to recover ammonia, the main ingredient in nitrogen fertilizer, from wastewater. The new setup, described this week in Nature Sustainability, could offer farmers a cheaper source of plant nutrients while also helping clean up farm runoff and industrial wastewater."
