So I'm having a very large, very slow clearout.

I want to get rid of my stuff with minimal use of evil corporate platforms so I'm trying out listing it on my own website.

My sale site is here: epic-attic.co.uk

I've got about 35 items listed so far, maybe 100 or so more to come, once I've taken photos and so on.

This is a real #smallweb project! You have to email me to buy/claim stuff there's no checkout and no tracking or scripts of any sort.

I think we need a hashtag for selling and giving away stuff in the UK (for non business stuff)

What about #secondhanduk ?

I thought ukforsale initially but that sounds like a political statement.

Is anyone else selling off their excess stuff in the UK? Should we start a #webring?

💛 Webring Wednesday #22 💛 | The Book Ring

The Book Ring is a cozy, bookish webring for readers, writers, and literary dreamers. Each member site is a unique window into someone’s personal library; be it filled with reviews, writing projects, fanfiction, or musings on favorite genres. It’s like getting to know people through their shelves, and it’s a warm invitation to wander from one book-loving site to the next.

The ring is part of a larger online library space and includes little snapshots of what members are currently reading, which makes discovering new titles extra fun. Whether you’re a fantasy lover, a historical fiction nerd, or just someone who enjoys curling up with a good story, The Book Ring is a comforting place to connect with fellow bibliophiles.

I found a Bluesky page that is posting old-school 3D renders.

bsky.app/profile/oldschool3d.b

I'll be spending the afternoon looking for the name of a particular old-school 3D artist whose artwork I remember from back in the day. It was mostly medieval castles and landscapes... the typical non-anti-aliased, pre-ambient-occlusion, pre-IBL rendering with simple z-buffer fog. I remember that page was part of a #webring and I've checked it regularly for new images. But I forgot the artist's name.
