I really don't have a reason to #work for the time being aside from giving myself a bit more spending #money.

I will have my own apartment in the nearish future, I have disability income, and a whole bunch of grants for school available.

I found out Full Service Partnership would buy my all my supplies, too. They would even get me a laptop, and apparently there's a bike in the works.

It's a blessing, and I am glad to have some effective support by good people for once.

Honestly I don't think I want to work as a waiter, or in customer service again. While I like talking with people, every other aspect of the job sucks in some way, or gets ruined by dumbasses you have to work with.

My #mentalhealth is quite fragile until I can get back into regular #therapy due to massive issues with #cptsd and other phobias I have.

Maybe I'll go be a night janitor or something.

I have no idea, but being a waiter made me want to take drugs, and everyone does.

From the ACB mailing list:

Congress has reintroduced the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA). This bill works to ensure that people with disabilities are not paid subminimum wage under an almost 100-year-old piece of legislation that allows certain businesses with a specific certificate to do so. The bill will work to eliminate such working environments and help transition people currently in such settings into a more integrated work situation. To ask your member of Congress to support the bill, go to speak4.app/lp/9801enwx/?ts=175.

Teams: "Dude, I need to reboot to apply an update, so I'm going to close myself and start up again"
Alex: "Ok, please do, whatever"
Teams: closes and never start up again
Alex: "uuuuuuuuuuuuuh, ok?"

What we've done to deserve such a [REDACTED] tool?!?!

"Me first" is the policy I've been applying to everything work related from a month or so.

Which means that if I have to choose between hitting the gym early in the morning or having an early meeting, the first option will always win against the latter. This is about setting my priorities straight again and not succumb to the continuous requests from my customers, mostly driven by their "work anxiety".

I know that having this possibility isn't for everyone and I'm thankful I have, don't get me wrong.

Almost a thousand jobseekers had their income support payments unlawfully terminated over two years, the federal watchdog has found, cautioning the breach likely had a "profound if not catastrophic" impact on vulnerable people.

Would you like to be part of a #fediverse group which can boost and post your toots about work?

I've been setting a #bot account up for this task since a while now, but would like to have some feedback before choosing whether to go live or not to.

Thanks
