Dear #knowledgegraphs #ai #nlp and #semanticweb community. For my upcoming #ISE2025 lecture at @KIT_Karlsruhe in the summer semester, I have to decide on which topic I should choose all my examples and exercises from. Which general topic should I choose?:
@fiz_karlsruhe @fizise @tabea @MahsaVafaie @GenAsefa @shufan @enorouzi #teaching #academia #llm
@lysander07 @KIT_Karlsruhe I'd find antifascism and politics the most grounded, with direct applications to current global events. No doubt climate change and ecology are pressing issues, and there's a clear interplay - highlighting how this tech can and should be used for good.
The key is fostering stronger, more tangible incentives for researchers and engineers to engage meaningfully. They should be fired up to be more conscious of their decisions and the ramifications.
**As We May Think**

Thanks for the suggestion. I did astronomy examples more than 10 years ago, esp. about Pluto not being a planet anymore, which nicely introduces the concepts of roles in ontologies ;-)
@lysander07 @KIT_Karlsruhe @fiz_karlsruhe @fizise @tabea @MahsaVafaie @GenAsefa @enorouzi If you look for examples about climate change & ecology, I will suggest these data gaps https://www.climatechange.ai/dev/datagaps
