@aethrvmn
That's what I'm doing.

I've used for a lot of years (since was *the* deep learning library and you had to learn Python to play with it), but I'm still in shock that so few lines could be a full web service with nice rendering, does HTTPS now, all that good stuff.

A month of and building functions inch by inch and screen-full by screen-full just makes that feel impossible and possibly magic.

@aethrvmn Tomorrow I get to practice installing certs yet again (and will write notes this time) after dumping my history on the current VM. I'd started a 4GB instance which I really really don't need, so I'm cutting it down to the little 1GB droplet (hey, $6/month. I can justify that).

I've already been reminded that I'm deeply unqualified to put up a public facing service so.. any pitfalls you could warn me about?

The Python web service doesn't ever write information, just reads and serves.

@stevenaleach @aethrvmn The alpine docker image for nginx is less than 20 mb. When I pull any kind of depp learning image it's typically 5-10 gb.

One day I'll learn what Docker is :-).

I quit being a CS student in 2005 - curriculum was so Windows+Java+Web focused I decided the computer revolution was over and nothing interesting left to be done, it was all appliances. I still basically think in C, have no clue what's happened on non-Linux since 1995, and basically forgot (until yesterday) that HTTPS was a thing.

I shared a bedroom with an Altair 8800 B as a kid. I default to old basic tools ;-).
