A legitimate question: what sorts of knobs do you have to play with? How much control (say) do you have over the experience or UI?
@aidan we mainly have knobs related to moderation, such as blocking IPs and things like that. In terms of UI there is not much - we can do some basic stuff like set light/dark theme, adjust some branding images, enable user directory and public timeline.
We do have the ability to modify CSS which in theory allows for a lot, but we haven't explored this avenue much yet.

@thegradient out of curiosity, do you have an estimated upper bound?
@angli it's hard to say - technically we are approaching we upper bound of @mastohost maximum number of resources, but compute demand depends on the extent to which people interact with other instances. If growth persists we'll likely need to increase compute soon, though (which we can do, it's no issue).
