"A #Jewish couple has reportedly been attacked in #Venice by three men calling the husband a “dirty #Jew,” according to #Italian media.
The Venice newspaper Il Gazzettino reports that the man and the woman, #American tourists in the Italian city for a brief vacation, belong to the #Chabad-Lubavitch #Hasidic group and were therefore very recognizable as Jewish, with the man sporting a kippa and a long beard. The woman is five months pregnant."

An autumns tale. It has everything one could wish for: A lost protagonist, an old mansion, mountains and a mystery! Written in great poesque prose. So if you are looking for your next classy thrill, I’d highly recommend this novel.

In preparation for my upcoming vacation in #Verona , #Italy , I am studying the menus of the restaurants in the neighborhood of our hotel, and add all the words I don't know yet to my #Italian vocabulary training.
Sure, I _could_ just look up all those words in the restaurant with Google Translate or whatever, but I don't have the patience for that - if I already know a word, I don't have to fiddle around with my smart phone.
An #Italian woman is sitting at her deceased husband's funeral. A man walks up to her and asks, "Do you mind if I say a word?".
"No, please do”, the woman replies.
The man clears his throat, says "Ciao”, then walks away.
