#Fallacy #police response: "over 5,000 cities” across the country use such #cameras, “so there is no constitutional violation there.”

#Legal action was taken.

Wikipedia loses its challenge to the UK Online Safety Act.

The UK High Court dismissed the Wikimedia Foundation’s challenge to parts of the country's Online Safety Act on Monday, but suggested the non-profit could have grounds for legal action in the future.

Wikipedia was particularly concerned that under the OSA's “Category 1” duties, the non-profit would be forced to verify the identity of users.
