Further progress on the forebody and scopes
Problem is that the upper front section will still have the tendency to bend downwards, and I still think I need the nylon to be quite thick in a lot of regions (not accurately depicted on image)

Progress on the middle body. I made the slot very close to the split line I need to make that part extra thick :(
Very minimal gap between the tube and the power line, need to check in 3d whether this works, because the planned wire hole will go past that thin piece of material
Continuation of the modeling project where I am actually modeling...
Kinda figured out the structure of the rear two parts... Due to a giant solenoid in the middle, it's hard to make optimal connection structure... But maybe the rest of the part can be easier
I'm really taking this slowly. This time not via blocking, but actually tracing my drawing and add depth to construction lines, it works surprisingly well with my brain... I might be able to make the entire structure without having any faces, then I just bridge everything up...?
(Also I added back that PVS device in the front but with a different design)
Today I was blocking out the scopes, this initially had a PVS-27 style night vision booster scope in front, but it kinda made the shape a bit hard to read in the end, so I ditched this option, and went with a "combined reflex" look in the top of the thread.
At this stage I went into #b3d and blocked out the shape, turns out it looks reasonably nice, but there are some structural problems, mainly the ejection port isn't at the right position.
I tried some subdiv workflow to block out the stock, turns out I'm pretty comfortable with it. So I will do that later in the modeling phase.
This #ThrowbackThursday we have #spiderlegged #robots Love my creepy crawly droid friends. #bot #droid #mech #mecha #illustration #conceptdesign
I know, I know, my goal this week was to paint more SIMPLE composition thumbnails. I'm not sure this one counts, the shapes are simple but there are sooo many of them :) Inspired by James Gilleard, Robh Ruppel and Syd Mead #painting #scifi #conceptart #conceptdesign #illustration
Think I'm going to have some fun this week with simplified / stylized environment thumbnails. How much detail and depth can I create with simple shapes? #painting #scifi #animatedfilm #concept #conceptart #conceptdesign #visdev #digitalpainting #illustration
Here we go... A different #ConceptArt from some years ago. A #superHero squad called" Heroes of the Elements"
I had the idea of turning them into 3D characters and do a "little" animation movie with them.
It's funny how I still see the sequences I had in mind today in my head after all this years.

OK I cheated- there's yet another one
(Actually this is because I found out that the book page count isn't divisible by 4 so I just have to make another spread )
And this is the last one for now :D
Since you guys liked the previous one, here's another one XD
Early trial illustrations in graphite for The Silent > No.3
Part of The Silent project is producing these ‘fine art' illustrations exploring negative/positive space which ties into the narrative. While most of the work will be graphite, I will also be doing some in coloured pencil. These will be one off's that I'll have in my shop
Chillin' and flirtin' in the underground Piccadilly Circus station.
One of keyframes I did for the "Offliners 76" TV show project we put together with Sebastian de Souza.

Welcome to 2024!!
With the groundwork done (at least five times over!), '24 for me is time to shift gears, take what I do seriously, stop short changing myself. It's time for a professional attitude towards my art & design.
Oh... my feed will now only have one month's worth of posts as I put more into my websites. After a month they auto delete.
