As a hobbyist programmer, my red lines for coding with AI assistants.

1. Locally installed models only.
2. Do my own logic and coding, but treat the AI like a junior developer and assign it tasks from time to time.
3. Understand, explain and test every line of code that the junior developer contributes.

I still have to put in the work.

Interested in hearing others opinions for and against.

Setting up Continue on VS code -- with this config, does it mean I’m running two Codestral LLM simultaneously?

I can run Codestral on terminal but runs in eternal waiting in Continue/VS code.

I’m on MacBook Pro M3 Pro 18GB RAM.

Has anybody already successfully tried out #Codestral (https://mistral.ai/news/codestral/)? I'm trying to use it with #VisualStudioCode and the #Continue extension. However, it's incredibly slow on my laptop.
