This is a fun one for me. This is a mosaic centred between #M4 and #IC4604 - this means it only catches the edges of both, but there are all sorts of interesting things going on in between them. We've got some named stars from Scorpio, some reflection nebulae, some star-forming regions, open clusters, even a globular cluster!

And right down the bottom we have the red giant Antares.

This was shot over two nights, with each quarter getting 1 hour and 39 minutes for the base, and then another 15 minutes to create the stellated star mask layer.

So I got a 256GB Mini, got a 2TB drive from ExpandMacMini, installation was easy - and for the first time in many, many, MANY YEARS I could actually f-ing upgrade a f-ing Mac!

I paid ~NZD 540 for the drive, so I could pretty much buy another M4 Mini for the difference...

What’s the scoop on the new macbook air with the M4? Says it can have up to 32gb of ram, but max config is 24gb that can be ordered. Can you get a 16gb or 24gb and upgrade to 32gb afterward?

I need to test my software on the m4 and this seems like it would be an affordable way to do it, but i need 32gb. For now macbook pro m4 was the only option (need to be able to bring it with me, so mini, studio or imac not an option).
