@cobordism @hyc @voxel IMHO the only thing that moving #Ethereum from #PoW to #PoS achieved is raising the wall to make it harder, more expensive amd less attractive for #SmallInvestors to fiddle with it.

Demondtrably, #EthereumClassic would at least be more trustworthy, alas that's an Opinion based off 'vibes'…

  • Whether the PoS transition did save energy is debateable since #Ethereum uses #ASIC|s which makes it way more polluting due to these being useless for anything else. #Scalpers are shit but at the very least a #CPU or #GPU can be reused elsewhere…

Please Remember if you are searching for a Switch 2 (or any other shiny new tech) to not give in and pay the Scalper's exorbitant prices. They only do that crap because it makes them a ton of money if one gives in and pays it. Let them be left holding a ton of them when it hits the point of you could walk in to a store on a whim and pick one up.

I know for a fact at least a dozen movies who didn't get any #rerelease - #Streaming or #disc - that are thus "#unobtainable" outside of #UsedMarket and thus #scalpers and #piracy.
