Today it has been exactly one year since my Dad passed. It’s also opening day for MLB, and baseball was his first love, and mine as well. So today is very, very, bittersweet for me.
I miss my Dad so much. He was my person and I often find myself thinking I’m going to text or call him and he will answer. His absence leaves such a huge hole in my life and my family’s lives. He really was larger than life to not only his children, but especially to his seven grandchildren.
I am balling right now because I’m watching our team, the Astros, play their opening day game against the Yankees, the team he first fell in love with as a boy in the 1940s, and I can’t talk to him.
I love you, Dad, and I miss you more than I can put into words.

...obviously the physics landscape in 2024 is not simplified if you followed things thru 2023.
