Moist night air coming in from the open window. Dawn is so early now, mid summer. No bird songs yet. The garden immensely overgrown, we had no time to do anything this year. (The neighbours are complaining.) The windows are shielded by a layer of green from the uncontrolled growth: branches from the nearby trees, leaning into the house, branches from bushes by the wall that should not be there. I feel deeply protected by those branches and that green. The dog sleeps next to where I sit and do my scribbles, he trusts me. Still no bird song. This house haa stood here since the 1700s, there is continuity in life. Moist air, deep green.

Maybe a quick #Redbull and a couple of strong #Ibuprofen weren't the best option for the first thing to go down the hatch in the morning .. My stomach is complaining and I feel nauseous ..
