A quotation from Euripides

POLYMESTOR:                                        Shit.
Nothing is credible, not a good reputation
Nor that one who is lucky will not do badly in the end.
The gods churn these waters up back and forth
Mixing in confusion so that we worship them
   In our ignorance.

Euripides (485?-406? BC) Greek tragic dramatist
Hecuba [Hekabe; Ἑκάβη], l. 956ff (c. 424 BC) [tr. @sentantiq (2020)]

A quotation from Euripides

HECUBA:   Then no man on earth is truly free,
All are slaves of money or necessity.
Public opinion or fear of prosecution
forces each one, against his conscience,
   to conform.

Hecuba [Hekabe; Ἑκάβη], l. 864ff (c. 424 BC) [tr. Arrowsmith (1958)]

I can finally make higher quality videos! Longer ones too as I have an SD card.

In typical poor person luck fashion I got it in a very strange way too.

I went to a garage sale, and they had a phone with a cracked screen they were gonna throw out, that they weren't even selling.

I asked if I could take it, and I popped open the SD slot and it had a 256 gig card that still worked!

I was working with 64 gigs of internal, which really was only 7 after apps/system stuff.

The 4 Types of Luck
In 1978, a neurologist named Dr. James Austin published a book entitled Chase, Chance, & Creativity: The Lucky Art of Novelty.

In it, Dr. Austin proposed that there are four types of luck:

Blind Luck
Luck from Motion
Luck from Awareness
Luck from Uniqueness
Here's how to think about each type:

Salvation Army is good for the soul.

A place where they have endless amounts of clothing my size, because I am tall and skinny unlike most Americans so they pile up, because nobody buys them.

A place where pants don't cost 60-100 dollars for absolutely NO REASON.

I bought a pair of really nice skinny jeans today, and they cost 15 dollars, and actually cost 5 dollars, because someone left a 10 in the pocket.

I got tacos with the ten.

Good days!
