@watchfulcitizen @adisonverlice The problem is not @mullvadnet but #VPN|s in general.

People need to put realistic expectations into what #MullvadVPN and others like #Mullvad can and can't do, both technically and legally.

#ComSec, #ITsec, #InfoSec & #OpSec need to be interweaved!

  • Granted Mullvad, like @monocles, go out of their way to minimze the amounts of data they have, so there's not much they can hand over even when forced under duress to comply with a duely issued warrant!

Any decent @cryptoparty@chaos.social / @cryptoparty@mastodon.earth will advise you further...

Our MP is apparently leadng the way in trying to ban #VPNs boooooooooooooooo 👎

But what I mostly like is that since the UK government has introduced an act for private companies to gather more data, that more and more people have looked into taking their internet privacy much more seriously.

You should use a #VPN for everything. Always.

We've used #MullvadVPN for many years now and highly recommend.

@heisec

Recomiendo 100% #ProtonVPN o #MullvadVPN. #Proton tiene acceso a 3 países gratis.

I am a tiny bit concerned.

Using #MullvadVPN @mullvadnet on #GrapheneOS @GrapheneOS I need to disable GrapheneOS' default VPN protections to make split tunneling work.

I use that to prevent #Youtube from blocking me (poorly the good times are over it seems), and to have local network stuff (#RDP, #LocalSend, #KDEConnect, #SyncthingFork) work.

Are all these apps bypassing my VPN?? Or are they collecting data themselves and the system can access that?

The GB numbers indicate the latter?
