Wer im Raum Ludwigsburg/Stuttgart wohnt, kann sich dieses wunderbare #Musical "Amélie" im Herbst anschauen. Ich tanze, singe und spiele auch mit 🤓.
Der Vorverkauf startet heute. Die letzten sechs Aufführungen im Frühjahr waren komplett ausverkauft.
Als Mitspieler finde ich es immer schwierig das Stück zu bewerten. Darum kann ich nur von dem Feedback der Zuschauenden ausgehen und das war durchweg positiv.

Today in Labor History July 5, 1888: Three women were fired from the Bryant & May factory in East London for exposing the appalling working conditions there. Women typically had to work 14-hour days at very low wages and they often suffered debilitating diseases, like Phossy Jaw, from exposure to white phosphorus. The other 1400 women and girl laborers come out in solidarity leading to the “Match Girls' Strike” which was unsuccessful as a strike, but highly effective at generating solidarity and galvanizing the working-class movement. In 1966, Bill Owen and Tony Russell produced a musical about the strike called “The Matchgirls.” Welsh writer Lynette Rees wrote about it in her novel, “The Matchgirl.”

Last night my husband and I saw Hadestown at the Amsterdam theater. I was very impressed with the voice of the man who played Hades (very deep, sonorous, and intentionally even) and liked his version better than the official recordings; I was surprised to find out today that he was actually the understudy! His name is Christopher Short.

also, Hermes was a woman and I think that's permanently altered my perception of the god.
