Good morning everyone from the Highlands of Scotland
I'm just up after another night of good sleep, but bonkers dreams, which seems to happen when I am here 😊

Another quiet day of crochet and chatting with my sisters on the cards. My youngest sis is returning from a trip away today so it will be my first chance to catch up with her since Dad passed.

Spoke to Grant last night. He and the parrots are all well, although neither Jadie (who has the option) not Toby have gotten out since I left. They will all be glad to have me back tomorrow no doubt 😊

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early and off on my travels today, which has not started very auspiciously. First I put Toby's pellets into Ziggy's bowl by mistake and had to dig them out again, then I dropped Toby's tray from the bottom of his cage on to my foot while cleaning it - twice! Then I dropped Ziggy's food bowl over the carpet and when picking up all the mess accidentally plopped it into Jadie's dry bowl, which resulted in me having to prep two meals all over again 🤦‍♀️ I've no idea what's going on today - I honestly hope that's all the calamity the day has in store for me!

So, wish me luck as I tempt fate and the whims of the Train Gods once again. So far the only disruption seems to be between Aberdeen and Inverness, which is not my route up to the Highlands, so fingers and toes crossed! 😊

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning everyone ☀️ Late one for me as Grant got up for the parrots, and to be honest I could have easily slept longer has they not decided it was time to raise the roof. I'm sitting with them now and having coffee, but Jadie is still yelling "Hello!" and "Come Step up!" in her rough, sixty a day smoker voice ☺️

I stayed up far too late playing BG3 last night, but it's the last time I'll play for a while now since I have to do all the prep today for leaving the parrots with Grant for a few days. It was good though - took me right out of my head on a day I really needed it.

So plans for today are some parrot kitchen - making chop and a berry and kale/broccoli smoothie for Grant to be able to add to their dry lunch mix instead of him having to chop fruit and veg, writing up pages of instructions for him and packing for tomorrow.

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm back up early with the parrots again today, who are all munching breakfast after Ziggy literally came out for about three minutes and then demanded to go back to her cage again. I think all the fresh air and sunlight from yesterday has worked up an appetite. 😊

We take the girls out in their cages as they are really light to carry, but Toby's cage is far too heavy to humph down the back steps, so he was out in his travel cage and that gave me the opportunity to give his main cage a really good clean as I'm going away next week for a few days and he won't get out. It's amazing how messy an Eclectus cage can get! I also scrubbed down the walls which Ziggy has been decorating with raspberries 😂

So, pretty pooped today and will be taking it easy and playing some BG3, which I didn't get around to yesterday after all.

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

@JimsPhotos gorgeous!

I'm very fond of pelicans (see my avatar!) but likely the sulphur-crested cockatoo would be a strong favourite. Just look at these cuties! What could be more serene?

Except a popular nickname for them is Jerk Bird because they love to fly in and destroy things. They've now learnt how to open wheelie bins to get to the goodies inside, and the knowledge is spreading across Australia slowly, bird to bird.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on Spaceship Earth 🌍 I'm up early with the parrots today and have just taken Madame Bossy Boots back to her cage and settled down with my first coffee of the day. She was in fine form this morning, deciding that running up inside the arm of my cardigan, nipping the soft flesh underneath my arm to hear me yelp, then laughing away was good fun. Every now and then she would run up my arm in the opposite direction, pop her head out of the sleeve and yell "Ceek a boo! just to make sure I was paying attention 😂 All three are now munching away happily, while I sip coffee and listen to the white noise of the air filters. Good times 😊

Plans for today are to hopefully take the parrots outside for a bit of sun and maybe I will tackle that cupboard....or maybe play more BG3. Those pesky tadpoles need to be sorted somehow after all 😉

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

There was a pause in the rain, so I wandered around the corner to the bottle shop – and to see who was waiting for Mr Seed to feed them. Little corellas today, somewhat wet and bedraggled and floofed up by the breeze.

Good morning everyone 🌻 Late one for me as Grant got up for the parrots (who were extremely raucous when he left to take his car for a service, but with determination I managed to fall asleep again 😂) and I was up far too late playing BG3. Now that I've rerolled my sorcereress and am playing her the way that feels right for her character, I'm having a whole lot of fun again. I've been gaming a bit much, but am enjoying the break from reality and just letting my mind go Elsewhere.

I made my custom crochet order live again yesterday and I see people are starting to favourite it already, but it usually takes a few days before orders come in, so I'll probably be gaming today again I reckon. Either that or cleaning out some cupboards....I wonder which will win 😂 I also noticed a whole whack of new mods for DAO on the Nexus, so I will have to check those out. It would be rude not to! 😊

Have a lovely day whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning Fedi Friends ❤️ I am up early with the parrots today and am currently cuddling with Ziggy who is grumbling away in my hand totally content with our little world. Oh... I have just been informed in increasingly strident tones by Madame Bossy Boots that she wants to "Come! Come!" to her cage for her breakfast 😂 (Intermission)

I now have coffee! ☕ I have two air filters on the go at the moment as Jadie has been sneezing a bit and honestly, it's like white noise pumped into the room. I'm half expecting to hear "angel music" as I used to call it when I was little. Anytime we were in a car or on a plane and there was a background hum I would start to hear music, really lovely, beautiful choral singing, and it would fill me with pure joy. It faded, as all magic does I guess, as I got older, but it would be lovely to hear it again.

Parrot kitchen today.

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again this morning and having a lovely wee cuddle with her Zigginess, who is sitting in my hand, grumbling away with contentment, while Toby throws food around the room 😊 By food I mean vegetables. Just like a child he'll hoover up all the nice, sweet fruit, but isn't keen on veg. He seems particularly adverse to carrots, which he'll hunt down and fling all over the place, no matter how well I hide them in his bowl 😂

The heating came on for a bit this morning I noticed. It's also noticeably darker when I get up now. Our bats have already left as well, which is early for them. It's usually mid August before they head out to wherever bats overwinter. They had a good breeding season though, so I wonder if they left early to settle the young in their other, mysterious home 😊

Work today. Ho hum

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗

Good morning you lovely lot 💕 It's Monday yet again and I am up early with the parrots and currently being preened by Ziggy, who has also just given me a warning nips for daring to move my head ☺️ Jadie is still tucked up under her cover at the back of her cage waiting for me to put Ziggy back and put their lights on, and Toby, not being one to wait for food, is already well into his munching 😊 We noticed Jadie has been sneezing a bit lately, - there's a lot of feather dander around right now due to moulting - so I have set up a second air filter in the room. The sound of two of them at full speed is really sleep inducing though. I was wide awake until I sat down with Zigs, and now I'm really heavy eyed again. Going to need a strong coffee that's for sure!

Work today. Hopefully the same pace as last week, which was pretty good.

Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗
