Good morning you lovely lot It's Monday yet again and I am up early with the parrots and currently being preened by Ziggy, who has also just given me a warning nips for daring to move my head Jadie is still tucked up under her cover at the back of her cage waiting for me to put Ziggy back and put their lights on, and Toby, not being one to wait for food, is already well into his munching We noticed Jadie has been sneezing a bit lately, - there's a lot of feather dander around right now due to moulting - so I have set up a second air filter in the room. The sound of two of them at full speed is really sleep inducing though. I was wide awake until I sat down with Zigs, and now I'm really heavy eyed again. Going to need a strong coffee that's for sure!

Work today. Hopefully the same pace as last week, which was pretty good.

How could I forget it's #Caturday?

Bad news: My #aquarium filter pump died. None of the shops near me stock a replacement. The manufacturer can ship me one, but it’ll take a week to get to me.

Good news: This gave me a good excuse to buy a new filter, with a larger filtration area & quieter pump.

I plumped for the Oase EcoFlow 150 (https://www.oase.com/gb-en/products-a-z/family/product/p/94112-ecoflow-150-gb.html), which is a bit over-spec’d for my tank, but doubles my filtration and is _almost_ silent.

As a bonus, I found my missing neon tetra, trapped in the old filter intake.

Good morning you Fine Fedi Folk I'm up early with the parrots today and have just been preened by Ziggy, who is determined to make me look like I have shingles again. I was watching her taking her medication earlier - her beak is too long for her to eat it properly off the spoon so she laps it up with her little black tongue - it's too cute

I fell down a rabbit hole yesterday with that old Freenas server - which is toast by the way, a server shouldn't sound like an angle grinder when turned on! But it also had an external drive and I'd hoped to get the stuff off there, but I can't get Linux to see the ZFS pool. It knows the drive is there and how big it is, just can't read it. So, I ended up trying my hand at modding DAO on Linux instead

Gaming day for me today. Back to BG3 and I may go back to Act II as I made a decision there I don't like now.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm I'm just up after a really good sleep, having only woken up once during the night - which is unheard of for me. I'm now sitting with my first coffee after having been greeted with all the excitement that only parrots can muster at seeing you for the first time in the morning - I get so many kisses blown at me I feel like a film star

I'm off to post the competition toy later this morning and then my day is my own so I am planning to look into revitalising an old Freenas server I have and maybe setting up Jellyfin or something. First I'll need to see if the PC actually fires up as it's been sitting gathering dust for years!

Good morning you lovely lot I'm up early with the parrots today and having a lovely cuddle with Ziggy, who Grant was regaling last night with the tally of"cousins" he had seen on his birding walk yesterday. As usual he would say, "I saw a (name of bird)" and she would respond with "A bird!". Then he said "What about Ziggy?" "A bird!"
"And Jadie?"
"A bird!"
"And Toby?"
*Silence*
"What are you Ziggy?"
"A bird!"
"And what is Toby?"
*Silence*
So there you have it. Ziggy's judgement on Toby, who is apparently *not* a bird as far as she is concerned

I'm off to the post office this morning to post a toy order and then I'll be working on the final touches to the competition toy, which is almost ready. After that I think I'm going to take a break from toy orders for a while - I'm feeling a wee bit drained and could do with some me time.

Good morning everyone I'm up a little bit later today as Grant got up for the parrots. He's off today and hoping to go out birding if the weather permits. I've just finished the morning greetings with three excited parrots (my poor, poor neighbours!) and am just about to have coffee and get ready for work. The parrots are all quiet again and playing with their toys, or in Jadie's case, fighting with her toy

Work today. It's been busy, but not in a bad way. I've been able to just keep my head down and get on with things, which is how I like it. No clients to deal with either, which is bliss

Good morning everyone I'm up early with the parrots today and just about to start getting ready for work once Ziggy goes in for her breakfast. I had both Ziggy and Jadie yelling "Water!" at me as I was running the tap in the kitchen to fill their bowls. That they can just hear the sound and know what it is amazes me. Such clever little dinosaurs Ziggy is currently preening my neck. She is very particular about preening the same bit over and over so now I look like I have shingles again. Trying to get her to stop preening only results in a targeted nip to tell me to behave myself, so I have to just grin and bear it. I guess I, like my clothing, am a work of Ziggy art

Work today. Not expecting much excitement.

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun I'm up early with the parrots again today and when I came into the living room Ziggy was running her beak across the bars with gusto, like a prisoner with a tin cup, and then started making her laughing noises when I lifted her cover, obviously very pleased with herself Toby had been making phone noises before I came in - he imitates my Mum's old house phone to a T - but he stopped as soon as he heard me. He will happily make noises and chat away as long as he thinks nobody is listening and is actually a good talker - he just prefers not to when people are around. Jadie meanwhile greeted me with a whispered "Hello girl girl!" in her 60 a day smoker growl

Sunday chores today and some Parrot Kitchen then work on the latest crochet order.
