Before, it was drinking and reading the news and spiraling away from friends and family into hopelessness. Now the outlook is objectively more bleak! But the response can't be the same.

I see myself replacing #drinking with #scrolling and reading comments sections and hot take after hot take as if I'm going to find the final one that will fix me.

Current safety rails for me - blocking software (ColdTurkey is my favorite), NO BROWSERS on my phone, journaling, trying to hang out with PEOPLE IRL
