Sei von #ChapGPT gewesen. Komischerweise sagt ChatGPT, dass der Hashtag belastet sei und zu Missverständnissen führen könne. Kurz: *Richtig* schlechte Ausrede …

OpenAI and Arizona State University to develop a #chapgpt 'creative buddy'...
Lots of big words here, but I am still looking for the problem they are trying to solve.
It does not convince me about this use of #AI in #highered

Using #ChapGPT to generate text for fun is one thing. Using ChatGPT to generate text that matters is a very bad idea. Using ChapGPT to generate text with legal force might be worst of all.
What these judges apparently don’t realize is that ChatGPT’s superpower is plausibility. Its errors are that much more difficult to catch. Its output often looks right even when it’s utterly wrong.

Can #ChapGPT reimagine our world, radically or not?
NO IT CAN'T.
It's a #%$# language model #LLM. A stochastic parrot: https://doi.org/10.1145/3442188.3445922. It does not "imagine" anything. It generates plausible strings of words that are statistically likely to follow after the prompt, based on the training data. #AI
@fclc @Woolf_atthedoor @heidiploeg Definitely a question that many in the #academic/#education profession are pondering. I think we each need to step back and ask ourselves: Are we facilitating a valuable #learning experience? Should I care if my students search the Internet for answers/help or use #ChapGPT? No, as long as they are learning what I want them to learn! If the tools get in the way of learning then it is me who needs to adjust my #teaching.
