Design is a leadership skill. Within the mandate you already have, create the opportunity to design one piece of excellence. And use that as a stepping stone to win over the skeptics.

Did #ContentDesign talk today. Here’s one short clip on a concept that is good using a word that I loathe.
Two sides of #ContentDesign in talk on Tuesday 2nd September. Tickets/info www.tickettailor.com/events/weare... Using design to make humane spaces for people, their intents, their needs and their stories. Using design to make human spaces for humanity and our emotions, our ethics and our contexts
New short talk I’m doing:- Human(e) Centred Design for #ContentDesign Club online on 2nd September at 5pm (London). Tickets www.tickettailor.com/checkout/vie... I’ll talk about accessibility, gaps, AI and the value of being human(e)
DePaving (for) Paradise Got to write a provocation for #ContentDesign meetup. This may be too much but it’s an interesting perspective. How can we depave (for) paradise using dissent and diversity?

A new study (arxiv.org/pdf/2506.088...) has sparked fierce debate online and rightly so. Researchers tracked students over four months to measure how using ChatGPT affected memory, brain activity and engagement.

A few days ago, I inadvertently became the target of a significant backlash on Bluesky from individuals who reject all AI as intrinsically unethical and an environmental threat. #AI #ethics #copywriting #ux #digitalinclusion #AIDebate #realism #contentdesign
LTUX Brighton’s team would like to thank James Chase for being a headline sponsor for Talk UX in 2025 (17th–18th Sept).
This is the 10th year of the conference and the first time that it is back in-person after the pandemic. It’s going to be an amazing and idea-filled conference which welcomes everyone, regardless of experience-level. All made possible by our amazing sponsors–thank you James Chase! Tickets are now on sale (link in the reply).
Just joined Brenda Benham's online session on pitching for funding and it reignited my passion for crafting engaging #presentations grounded in the #BrainScience of making information stick i.e. #memorability
My journey in #storytelling is evolving, fueled by my deep interest in #PositivePsychology and #ContentDesign as a Learning Experience Designer. Whether it's solo podcasting or thinking about future media appearances (cozy, focused chats are still my preference), my foundation is solid thanks to BCIT's #PublicSpeaking course.
It's still wild to think that most people fear public speaking more than death. This was shared by the instructor and I keep hearing it from other public speakers I've met.
My key takeaway? Completing a course is just the beginning. Real growth / confidence happen when you consistently apply those skills. Keep practicing, keep experimenting, and those "aha!" moments will keep coming. It's leveling up your personal and professional growth!
New research shows GPT-4.5 was judged to be human 73% of the time in Turing tests, more often than actual humans. Having designed content for vulnerable users at Cancer Research UK and Police.uk, this has serious implications for my work. #AI #ContentDesign #Ethics #UX #TuringTest #Technology
UX Design leadership has dropped the ball. Plot twist: so has everyone else's. There is no design strategy, because there is no strategy. Fortunately, we have the tools to make our own - here's how. #ux #uxdesign #userresearch #contentdesign
I need your help. If you are on LinkedIn, please click ‘like’ on my new post about AI and trauma-informed content. It’s for an experiment. Thanks.

Sarah Johnson asks, "If a digital experience is a conversation with a user, how can you have that conversation if you don't know what the words are?"
Sarah addresses the crucial role of content in her new book, "Content-first Design," tackling both the pragmatic aspects of a content-first approach to design as well as how to advocate for content practice.
En ce moment, je rédige des bonnes pratiques de rédaction de bonnes pratiques, et je fais des do/don't de comment on fait bien des do/don't. Autant dire que j'ai très mal au cerveau .
Users like the conversational interfaces in #GenAI products, so #ConversationDesign is becoming more widespread. In her work at Cisco, Sharon Ni blends it with her #ContentDesign practice in her work on #ConversationalAI products and #Chatbots.
